About Savvy BC
The Savvy Business Community was established in July 2008, by Sherie Griffiths LL.B. The concept of producing broadcast-quality audio for business grew out of her experience as a lawyer, author, trainer, podcaster and ‘general translator of legalese into English’!
The Community was officially launched on 11th May 2009, in London, by the people behind the core team of businesses which make it all happen, with the help of invited guests.
At the launch, Sherie told the full story behind the development of the Savvy concept
– from a "eureka!" moment on a step-ladder, to the recording of the first programmes,
via a trip to America - and the challenge of finding finance just as the UK went into recession.
At the time of the launch, our primary focus was our own audio, made with contributions from members. In 2010, with the launch of PodSavvy, we shifted that focus towards providing training, production and project management services designed to help businesses tap into the power of podcasting.
